Your 2021 tax return needs to be filed by Monday, October 17. With the partnership and S-Corp extension filing date of 9/15 behind us, taxpayers that were waiting on late K-1’s should have received them by now.
For Mass residents, filing by October 17 will ensure that you receive the anticipated state refund equal to 13% of your total state tax liability. The Massachusetts Department of Revenue posted information on this state tax refund at: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/chapter-62f-taxpayer-refunds#refund-estimator- and we posted info on our blog at: https://schwartzaccountants.com/2022/09/ma-to-return-excess-annual-tax-revenue-to-eligible-taxpayers/.
Please contact your Preparer soon if you still need to finish up your 2021 personal tax returns.
